Facility:
This is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with an average daily census of 12.7 patients. The facility supports 3 general surgeons, 2 orthopedic surgeons, 1 family practice provider with OB, and 3 OB/GYN providers with an average of 50-60 births per month. As a Level 4 trauma center, the facility performs approximately 2,300 radiology exams each month and utilizes Meditech EMR system.
Opportunity: ACLS,BLS,ATLS,Board Certified,DEA - Radiology
This is a long-term radiology locums opportunity requiring coverage 2 weeks per month. The ideal candidate will be certified in mammography procedures and be able to start as soon as credentialing is complete.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 2 weeks per month, Monday through Friday, 7am-7pm (8-hour shifts may be considered if preferred)
- No call responsibilities
- Perform minor procedures and reads including diagnostic mammograms, breast biopsies, barium enemas, small bowel follow-through, upper GIs, epidural steroid injections, abscess drainage, and Medicare overreads
- Required procedures include breast localization for OR with magseed/magtrace, arthrograms, joint aspirations/injections, CT cystograms, PICC line placement, lumbar punctures, hysterosalpingograms, bone marrow biopsies, and various ultrasound-guided biopsies
- Typical daily caseload of 5-10 procedures depending on complexity
- Provider will read images between procedures
- Works with an external company that handles remote imaging reads
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
