About MU Radiology

The University of Missouri performs over 340,000 radiology exams a year serving patients at the University Hospital, Women’s Hospital, Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, Missouri Orthopedic Institute, South Providence Outpatient Imaging Center and Urgent Care. The MIZZOU Health Care System is the only Level I trauma center in central Missouri. Physicians throughout the state refer many of their most complicated cases to our flagship hospital. Our imaging services are fully ACR accredited and we have state-of-the-art imaging equipment including 7T MRI and dual energy CT. We are fortunate to have passionate faculty who deliver outstanding sub-specialized clinical care, educate our medical students, residents and fellows, and perform research. Out radiologists enjoy very collaborative relationships with referring providers and participate in numerous multidisciplinary conferences.

Our faculty are integral parts of the University of Missouri (MU) diagnostic medical student, radiology residency, and radiology fellow education. We have a strong ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program which accepts five residents per year. Our diagnostic radiology residency program offers the Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology Residency (ESIR) pathway. We offer eight radiology fellowship level programs: Abdominal Imaging, Breast, Cardiothoracic Imaging, General Diagnostic Radiology, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Pediatric Radiology Fellowships and Interventional Radiology (Independent Residency).
