Description
Noor Locums is seeking an Interventional Radiology physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
This is primarily an inpatient call coverage opportunity with weekend and night call needs extending through the end of 2026. Additional day coverage is also available on select dates.
The physician will provide coverage for unassigned patients and work with an established hospital team at a Level III Trauma Center using Medhost EMR.
Assignment Highlights
- Ongoing Interventional Radiology locum opportunity
- Weekend call: 8:00 AM–8:00 AM
- Night call: 5:30 PM–9:00 AM
- Additional scheduled day coverage: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Approximately 3–5 phone consultations per 24 hours
- Approximately 0–5 patients seen per 24 hours
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- Level III Trauma Center
- Medhost EMR
- Inpatient setting
- No admissions required
- Weekend-focused need through the end of 2026
Job Responsibilities
Provide scheduled night and weekend call coverage
Respond to call requests within 30 minutes
Provide phone consultations and evaluate patients as needed
Evaluate and manage Interventional Radiology patients in the inpatient setting
Provide scheduled daytime coverage on designated dates
Collaborate with hospital physicians, nurses, and support staff
Document patient care in the Medhost EMR
Qualifications
Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology preferred
Active New Mexico medical license required
BLS certification required
Board certification is not required by the facility
Comfortable providing inpatient and call coverage
Ability to respond within 30 minutes while on call
Experience managing unassigned patients in a hospital setting

5:30 PM–9:00 AM
Weekend Call:
8:00 AM–8:00 AM
Day Coverage:
9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Coverage Period
Weekend and night call coverage is needed from August through December 2026, with the potential for additional coverage into the future.
