Opportunity Overview
A leading Michigan health system is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians who enjoy a mix of advanced vascular and non-vascular procedures while also having the ability to interpret diagnostic imaging between cases.
The practice serves both inpatient and outpatient populations and offers a consistent weekday schedule with no call responsibilities, allowing for an exceptional work-life balance.
Position Highlights

Clinical Responsibilities
Responsibilities include a broad spectrum of Interventional Radiology procedures, including:
Vascular Procedures
- Diagnostic angiography
- Embolization procedures
- Trauma embolization
- GI bleed embolization
- Thrombolysis
- IVC filter placement and retrieval
Emergency & Urgent IR Procedures
- Trauma embolization
- Splenic
- Hepatic
- Pelvic injuries
- Percutaneous nephrostomy placement
- Cholecystostomy tube placement
- Abscess drainage procedures
Additional Duties
- Interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies between procedures
- Inpatient and outpatient consultations
- Admissions and rounding responsibilities
- Resident and teaching supervision
Candidate Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified in Radiology
- American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certification
- Active, unrestricted Michigan Medical License
- Active DEA Registration
- BLS Certification
Required Experience:
- Strong Interventional Radiology background
- Experience managing emergent IR procedures
- Proficiency in vascular and non-vascular interventions
- Ability to perform independently in a hospital-based environment
Practice Environment
- Practice Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
- EMR: Cerner
- Stroke-Certified Facility
- Teaching environment with resident interaction
Credentialing
- Estimated Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days
