Position Overview

Universal Radiology Partners of Washington, DC is seeking a Remote Diagnostic Radiologist to provide flexible coverage for our Cedar Hill Hospital location.

This is a remote-only Part-Time / Per Diem opportunity designed for radiologists who want flexibility in their schedule while supporting a growing hospital-based practice. Available coverage primarily includes evening and overnight shifts, with occasional daytime coverage available based on operational needs.

The ideal candidate is a strong general diagnostic radiologist who is comfortable working independently in a remote environment and providing timely, accurate interpretations across a broad diagnostic caseload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote interpretation of broad general diagnostic imaging, including CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and MRI
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate final interpretations
  • Provide coverage during scheduled evening, overnight, and occasional daytime shifts
  • Collaborate remotely with onsite clinicians, referring physicians, and hospital teams
  • Communicate critical findings and clinically relevant recommendations in a timely manner
  • Utilize integrated PACS, EMR, and voice-recognition technology for efficient remote workflow
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, quality, patient safety, and regulatory standards
  • Participate in applicable quality assurance, peer review, and clinical improvement activities
  • Maintain professional communication and responsiveness throughout assigned coverage periods

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Active DC license or eligibility for licensure
  • Strong general diagnostic radiology skills across multiple modalities
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and attention to detail
  • Professionalism and ability to work collaboratively with hospital-based clinical teams

Schedule

  • Remote-only coverage
  • Part-time and per diem scheduling
  • Primary shifts available: 4:00 PM–12:00 AM
  • 12:00 AM–8:00 AM
  • Occasional daytime coverage may be available: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Daytime shifts are sporadic and based on coverage needs
  • Flexible scheduling designed to accommodate physicians seeking additional or supplemental remote work

Compensation

  • RVU-based compensation aligned with coverage, experience, workload, and employment classification
  • Compensation may vary based on assigned coverage and productivity expectations
