Job description

Job description A Detroit, MI area hospital system (DMC) needs Interventional Radiologists for ongoing coverage starting January 2027, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm, no scheduled call. Providers may be assigned to DMC Huron Valley-Sinai, DMC Sinai-Grace, or Harper Hospital. Pay is $380/hr. Both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities required. Resident/teaching supervision is part of this role. 2 providers needed, multiple providers accepted.

Job Responsibilities

Perform vascular and non-vascular procedures including embolization (trauma, GI bleeds), angiograms, thrombolysis, and IVC filter placements/removals. Perform emergency IR procedures on an urgent or emergent basis, including trauma embolization (splenic, hepatic, pelvic), nephrostomies, cholecystostomies, and abscess drainages. Read diagnostic cases between procedures when preferred. Supervise residents as part of the teaching component of this role.

Qualifications

Board Certified, ABR certification required. Active Michigan medical license required, licensing costs not reimbursed. DEA required. BLS required. Comfortable supervising residents/trainees.

Working Hours

Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm.

Skills

Comfortable with both scheduled and urgent/emergent IR procedures, full vascular and non-vascular scope. Cerner EMR. Comfortable in a teaching hospital environment with resident supervision responsibilities.
