A large, established physician-owned and operated radiology group is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to join its growing Florida practice.
The primary goal is to hire a permanent, full-time radiologist with an optional partnership track, although employed and locums arrangements may also be considered depending on candidate availability and experience.
The position offers significant scheduling flexibility, including onsite, hybrid, and fully remote opportunities depending on employment structure. Nuclear Medicine, Body Imaging, and MSK Radiologists may have additional remote flexibility.
For physicians interested in partnership, residency within Brevard County, Florida is required. Employed and locums physicians may have opportunities to work hybrid or fully remotely.

Partnership Schedule
Partners share evening and weekend coverage equally.
There is no call requirement.
Partnership-track physicians are required to reside within Brevard County, Florida, allowing them to be fully integrated into the local physician-owned practice.
Employed Radiologists
Employed physician schedules can be structured with flexibility based on the individual contract.
Physicians willing to cover evenings, overnights, and/or weekends may receive enhanced compensation.
Locums
Locums physicians may be considered based on available coverage needs, with flexibility around the shifts they are able to offer.
Schedules are generally confirmed at least two months in advance, providing meaningful predictability for physicians planning personal and professional commitments.

Job Responsibilities
Provide final interpretations of assigned imaging studies.
Interpret PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine studies based on training, credentialing, and scheduled coverage.
Interpret a broader diagnostic case mix as applicable, including CT, X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine.
Provide accurate and timely interpretation of emergency department and inpatient imaging.
Communicate significant or urgent findings appropriately to referring clinicians.
Collaborate with fellow radiologists and clinical teams to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Trade or redistribute specialty-specific cases among colleagues when appropriate.
Participate in evening and weekend coverage according to employment or partnership structure.
Maintain all required licensing, certification, credentialing, and quality standards.
Procedural work may be available for interested and qualified Diagnostic Radiologists but is not required for this position.
Reading Expectations & Case Mix
Case mix varies according to shift.
For typical 7 AM–3 PM, 8 AM–4 PM, 12 PM–8 PM, 3 PM–11 PM, and 4 PM–12 AM coverage, the workload is approximately:
80% Emergency Department / 20% Inpatient
Approximately 40% CT
Approximately 35–40% X-ray
Approximately 20% Ultrasound
Approximately 1–5% Nuclear Medicine and MRI
Remote work is primarily focused on ED and inpatient studies, with final interpretations provided.
Certain specialty examinations may be excluded depending on the physician's expertise. Radiologists almost never work completely alone, allowing physicians to collaborate and trade cases when appropriate.
Procedures
Procedures are NOT required.
The group is separately interested in adding approximately 1–2 permanent radiologists who perform procedures, so candidates interested and qualified in procedural work are encouraged to discuss those opportunities.
Qualifications
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology with Nuclear Medicine fellowship training and/or Board Certified in Nuclear Medicine through Nuclear Medicine residency
Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license
Existing/active Authorized User (AU) status on a valid Radioactive Materials License strongly preferred
Appropriate hospital and facility credentialing
Ability to provide accurate final radiology interpretations
Current residents and fellows meeting applicable training requirements are encouraged to apply
Subspecialty expertise outside of Nuclear Medicine is not required.

Remote coverage may include:
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Additional remote flexibility may be available for Nuclear Medicine, MSK, and Body Imaging Radiologists.
Skills
Successful candidates should possess:
Strong Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT interpretation skills
Solid general diagnostic radiology capabilities when applicable
Strong CT interpretation skills
Ability to efficiently manage ED and inpatient imaging volume
Excellent diagnostic judgment and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while remaining part of a collaborative radiology team
Strong physician-to-physician communication skills
Ability to appropriately prioritize urgent and emergent studies
Comfort working in a remote or hybrid reading environment when applicable
