Seeking BC Interventional Radiologist locum in East Central MN / Inpatient

Seeking a skilled Interventional Radiologist for a locum tenens opportunity at a 413-bed hospital in East-Central Minnesota!

Join a well-established hospital recognized as a Level I Trauma Center and thrombectomy-capable stroke center. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Interventional Radiologist who enjoys diverse procedural practice and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Assignment Highlights

• Location: East-Central Minnesota
• Facility: 413-bed hospital
• Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-Based
• Schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with overnight pager call
• EMR: Epic
• Average Case Volume: Approximately 10 cases per weekday and 6 cases per weekend day
• Scope: Interventional Radiology procedures only — no diagnostic imaging reads required

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general Interventional Radiology coverage.
• Perform cerebral embolectomy procedures.
• Administer moderate sedation as appropriate.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and hospital staff to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain high standards of procedural safety, clinical quality, and patient-centered care.

Please note: Aneurysm management is not required for this assignment.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of an accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology and the required Interventional Radiology fellowship training.
• Board-certified or board-eligible within five years of residency, consistent with facility requirements.
• Active Minnesota medical license.
• Minimum of two years of clinical practice experience.
• Current ACLS certification.
