Interventional Radiologist Needed | Flexible Monthly Coverage
Protean Med is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist for an acute care hospital opportunity in Boise, Idaho. Join an established IR team with experienced physicians and APP support.
Location: Boise, Idaho
Position Type: Locum Tenens
Start Date: January 2027
Availability: Minimum 7 consecutive days per month (Monday–Sunday)
Preferred: 14 consecutive days per month
Schedule
-
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, plus night call from 5:00 PM–8:00 AM

Saturday–Sunday: 24-hour call, 8:00 AM–8:00 AM

Night call-back: Approximately 0–1 hour per shift

Weekend call-back: Approximately 2–3 hours per shift
Procedures & Responsibilities
-
Trauma embolization and pulmonary thrombectomy
-
Gastric tube and biliary/cholecystostomy tube placement
-
Nephrostomy and ureteral stenting
-
Dialysis graft/fistula stenting
-
Body arteriography and IVC filter placement/removal
-
Additional procedures may include TIPS, ablations, vascular stenting, thrombectomy, embolization, and biopsies, depending on training and facility needs
Requirements
-
Board Certified in Interventional Radiology
-
Active Idaho medical license or active IMLC with LOQ

Minimum 7 consecutive days of availability per month

Clean background strongly preferred

Proof of COVID vaccination required at presentation
