Specialty: Physician - Radiology - Interventional
Location: Bismarck, ND
Shift: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM with evening call 4:00 PM-8:00 AM; 24-hour weekend call
Position Details: Ongoing IR coverage for 2026/2027; average 10-15 procedures during the 8-hour onsite shift; evening and weekend call; orientation required the day before the first confirmed shift from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM; credentialing timeframe 60-90 days
Patient Population: Adult
Setting: Interventional Radiology
Responsibilities: General interventional radiology procedures; diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventions; body/non-neuro interventions; vascular access; biopsies; drainage procedures; pain management procedures; and neuro stroke thrombectomy
Required Procedures: Angiography; Angioplasty; Stenting; Thrombolytic Therapy; Embolization; PICCs; Central Lines; Port-a-Cath Insertions; IVC Filters; TIPS; Drainage Procedures; Needle Biopsies; Abscess Drainage; Thoracentesis; Paracentesis; Myelography; Percutaneous Transhepatic Cholangiogram; Blood Patch; Joint/Epidural Injections; Vertebroplasty; Arthrograms; Chest Tube Insertion; Uterine Artery Embolization; Liver Y90/TACE; Gastrostomy Tube Insertion; Nephrostomy/Ureteral Stent Insertion; Renal Fistulograms; Cryoablation; Neuro Stroke Thrombectomy

Support Staff: Interventional Radiology team
Days Per Month: TBD; coverage dates include 11/25-12/01 and 12/22-12/31
On-Call/Weekends: Evening call 4:00 PM-8:00 AM; 24-hour weekend call; callback generally for emergencies
- Active North Dakota License or IMLC with LOQ
- IR Residency or Fellowship
- ACLS and BLS
