Interventional Radiologist – Michigan

We are seeking a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist for a full-time locum opportunity in Michigan. Join a collaborative 3-physician, 2-APP IR team at a Level I Trauma Center providing a broad spectrum of hospital-based interventional procedures.

Assignment Details

• Start: September 2026
• Coverage through December 2026
• Full-time locum assignment
• Monday–Friday
• 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Q3 weekday and weekend call

Practice Setting

• Hospital-based Interventional Radiology
• Level I Trauma Center
• Adult and geriatric patient population

Clinical Responsibilities

• Approximately 8 cases per day
• Angioplasty
• Stent placement
• Embolization
• Needle biopsies
• Thrombolysis
• Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)
• Additional orthopedic, gynecologic, and urologic IR procedures

Support

• 3 Interventional Radiologists
• 2 Advanced Practice Providers
• Dedicated IR manager
• Collaborative multidisciplinary team

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Interventional Radiology
• Active Michigan medical license (IMLC not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS required
• Clean malpractice and license history strongly preferred
• NPDB self-query dated within 30 days of submission required
• Local providers preferred; travel providers considered if available for 3+ weeks per month

Credentialing

• Approximately 90 days
• Expedited credentialing available for urgent coverage needs

Travel

• Mileage reimbursement
• On-campus lodging available for qualifying providers

Ideal Candidate

An experienced Interventional Radiologist comfortable performing a wide variety of vascular and nonvascular procedures while participating in a shared call rotation within a busy Level I Trauma Center. Providers able to commit to multiple consecutive weeks of coverage each month are strongly encouraged to apply.
