Locum - Physician - Radiology - Interventional Opprtunity in Lansing, MI!

This Interventional Radiology opportunity in Lansing, Michigan is seeking a full-time, Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to join a well-established hospital-based IR team consisting of three physicians and two APPs. The position offers a consistent day-shift schedule with a 1:3 call rotation and provides a broad range of complex interventional procedures in a Level I Trauma Center setting. The facility is open to locum providers who can commit to at least 2–3 weeks of coverage per month.

Dates / Schedule

• Coverage needed ASAP
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days (expedited process available for urgent needs)
• Day-shift hospital-based schedule
• Call coverage:
  • Every third weekday (Q3)
  • Every third weekend
  • 1:3 call rotation among Interventional Radiologists
• Average case volume: Approximately 8 cases per day
• Facility open to travel providers able to provide 2–3+ weeks of coverage per month

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Interventional Radiology services in a hospital-based practice setting.
• Perform a wide range of image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including:
  • Angioplasty
  • Stent placement
  • Embolization
  • Needle biopsies
  • Thrombolysis
  • Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)
• Additional experience with orthopedic, gynecologic, and urologic interventions is preferred.
• Work collaboratively with a support team that includes:
  • 3 Interventional Radiologists
  • 2 Advanced Practice Providers
  • Department manager and ancillary staff
• Primarily treat adult patients, including a significant geriatric population.
• Provide inpatient and emergency procedural coverage within a Level I Trauma Center.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certification in Interventional Radiology (Required)
• Active Michigan Medical License (Required)
  • IMLC/compact licenses not accepted
• BLS Certification (Required)
• ACLS Certification (Required)
• Current NPDB self-query dated within 30 days of presentation (Required)
• Clean malpractice and license history strongly preferred
• Ability to participate in weekday and weekend call rotation
• Experience performing a broad range of interventional radiology procedures
