Job description Interventional Radiologist – Academic Health System

Location: Erie Position Type: Full-Time, Employed Affiliation: Academic Health System Visa Support: H-1B candidates accepted Practice Setting: Non-profit health system (PSLF eligible)

Position Overview

A new opportunity for a skilled Interventional Radiologist to join a well-established, collaborative practice delivering the full spectrum of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. This role partners closely with a renowned facility, utilizing state-of-the-art CT, MRI, ultrasound, and angiographic technology to provide advanced, patient-centered care.

Schedule & Call
  • Daytime clinical schedule

  • Call coverage:

    • Weekday evenings: 1:4

    • Weekends: 1:4

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Primarily Interventional Radiology with limited Diagnostic Radiology rotations

  • IR physician covers the ED list when assigned

  • Work alongside experienced IR physicians and dedicated APP support

Interventional Procedures Include:

  • Angiography & angioplasty

  • Embolization, TACE, GAE

  • Ablation (liver, kidney)

  • IVC filter placement

  • Stroke intervention, aneurysm/AVM repair

  • Kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty, spinal fracture interventions

  • Biliary & nephrostomy drainage

  • Mediports, feeding tubes

  • Bone marrow biopsy

  • Paracentesis, thoracentesis

  • Nerve blocks, epidural injections

  • Additional advanced vascular and oncologic interventions

Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified (ABR or Canadian Board) in Interventional Radiology

  • Strong proficiency in cross-sectional imaging and general radiology

  • Eligible for unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license

  • DEA certification

  • Commitment to patient-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
