Diagnostic/Body Imaging Radiologist – MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center (CA)

MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center is seeking a Board-Certified Diagnostic Radiologist to assist with high-volume weekend coverage. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected Southern California hospital system and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing radiology team.

The ideal candidate will be a Body Imager with strong experience interpreting CT, MRI, ultrasound, and plain films. The practice does not include nuclear medicine, cardiac, or breast imaging.

Schedule & Coverage

• Shifts: Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Onsite)

• Coverage Type: Scheduled + No Call

• Shift Length: 10 hours- with the possibility of some shorter shifts if desired.

• Support: Hospital-based radiology and technologist staff

• Average Volume: ~150–180 reads per weekend day (mix of CT and plain films)

• Expectation: All studies generated during shift are to be completed—no reads left for next coverage

Orientation & Credentialing

• Orientation: 2 weekdays onsite prior to start for system setup, training, and quality review with supervising physician

• All hours billable

• Estimated Credentialing: 30+ days

• Must hold an unrestricted California medical license

Requirements

• Board Certification: Required (Diagnostic Radiology)

• State License: Active, Unrestricted CA (Not open to licensure)

• Certifications: BLS or ACLS

• DEA: Required

• CSR: Not Required

• Experience: Minimum 1+ year post-training
