Location: Scranton PA - Pennsylvania's sixth largest city is home to 5 colleges. It has a metro population of 570.000 residents enjoying a low cost of living excellent housing options and some of PA's best schools. The city is two and a half hours to both New York and Philadelphia and they also have an international airport. Facility: Acute care hospital licensed for 297 beds and houses the only Level II Trauma Center the county and Scranton’s only neurosurgery program and adult in-patient behavioral health unit. It is also home to comprehensive cardiovascular and orthopaedic services as well as a broad range of other surgical and radiological services. Hospital is part of a physician-led health system comprised of approximately 30 000 employees including nearly 1 600 employed physicians 13 hospital campuses two research centers a 583 000-member health plan and since 2017 their own School of Medicine. Opportunity: Health System is seeking an experienced Board Certified Radiologist with Breast Imaging Fellowship training. There program features the latest technology in breast imaging and breast intervention including Hologic digital breast tomosynthesis and tomosynthesis guided biopsy. Robust unified PACS system and state of the art electronic medical record technology. This is an opportunity to join breast imagers who are well established in the local patient and professional communities and the department leadership fosters an environment in which breast imagers thrive. Program is also a teaching position with medical students residents and fellows working with attending radiologists.
