Description
Noor Locums is seeking a fellowship-trained Breast Radiologist for an ongoing, on-site locum tenens opportunity with a major healthcare system in Michigan.
This is an outpatient breast imaging position focused on screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided breast procedures. The ideal physician will be comfortable with same-day diagnostic workups, patient-facing communication, and a fast-paced clinic environment.
Coverage: ASAP – Ongoing
Schedule: 2–3 days per week, 2–4 weeks per month
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Detroit, Michigan
Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only
EMR: Cerner
PACS: Change Health PACS; transitioning to Sectra PACS
Credentialing: Approximately 90 days
Job Responsibilities
Perform and interpret breast ultrasound examinations.
Interpret breast MRI studies.
Perform image-guided breast procedures, including biopsies, localizations, and aspirations.
Apply BI-RADS appropriately in breast imaging interpretation and reporting.
Maintain compliance with MQSA requirements.
Manage same-day diagnostic breast imaging workups.
Communicate imaging results and procedures directly with patients when appropriate.
Collaborate with technologists, nurses, surgeons, oncology teams, and other clinical staff.
Provide accurate, detailed reports in a timely manner.
Work efficiently in a busy outpatient breast imaging environment.
Qualifications
Fellowship training in Breast Imaging required.
Board certification required.
Board certification must be in the applicable specialty.
Active Michigan medical license required at the time of submission.
BLS required.
Hospital/surgical center privileges required.
Temporary privileges are not available.
Comfortable providing on-site breast imaging services.
Strong knowledge of BI-RADS and MQSA requirements.
Proficiency in breast procedures including biopsies, localizations, and aspirations.
Strong patient communication skills.
Local candidates preferred/required for this opportunity.
