Job description
We are seeking a Breast Radiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Georgetown, South Carolina. The physician will provide breast imaging coverage across two imaging locations, with a focus on screening, diagnostic & breast MRI interpretation. This is a Monday through Friday assignment with no call.
Job Responsibilities
• Interpret diagnostic breast imaging studies
• Read & interpret breast MRI studies
• Provide comprehensive Breast Radiology services
• Work at either the Waccamaw Imaging Center or Georgetown Medical Center based on the scheduled coverage
• Cover only one location per day
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals
• Complete required documentation & utilize Epic
• Support ongoing coverage until a permanent physician is hired
Qualifications
• Fellowship trained in Breast Radiology required
• Board Certification required
• Board Eligibility acceptable as applicable
• MQSA qualification required
• Active South Carolina medical license in hand required
• Prior Epic experience preferred/required
• Must be comfortable independently interpreting screening, diagnostic & breast MRI studies
Working Hours
• 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call
• Ongoing assignment starting September 14, 2026
• Coverage will be scheduled at either Waccamaw or Georgetown
• Physician will not work at both locations on the same day
• Multiple specific coverage dates available from September through November 2026
