Pulmonary/Critical Care Nocturnist Opening in Greenwood, SC
Located in Greenwood, SC; Greenville 60m, Columbia 80m
Overview
* The health system is seeking a Nocturnist Intensivist for night time oversight of its ICU and CICU (full time)
* Open to Internal Medicine/Critical Care, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Anesthesia/Critical Care or Emergency Medicine/Critical Care trained physicians
* Covers a 20 bed Medical/Surgical ICU and a 10 bed Cardiac ICU, 30 critical care beds in all, plus a 32 bed step down unit
* Typical night shift is 7P to 7A, concentrating on night time admissions and ongoing care
* The ICU is moving from an open model to a closed model, where the night intensivist triages and admits patients
* Family Medicine Residency program functions as the Rapid Response and Code Team for all floors at night
* 4 Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians currently cover days, and nights are currently covered by the hospitalist service
* Extensive specialty backup including Anesthesia, Cardiology (interventional, TAVR and EP), CT Surgery, Neurosurgery, Pulmonology and more
* Epic EMR with Dragon and DAX (AI dictation)
Qualifications
* MD or DO with Internal Medicine/Critical Care, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Anesthesia/Critical Care or Emergency Medicine/Critical Care training
* South Carolina licensure
* ACLS certification and procedure skills including central lines, arterial lines, intubation and mechanical ventilator management
* Bronchoscopy skills encouraged
