Description
PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center in Ketchikan, Alaska is seeking a Pulmonologist for outpatient locum tenens coverage.
This opportunity offers a consistent Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with no call. Coverage is initially planned for approximately one week per month, with the schedule potentially spacing out to one week every other month or quarterly based on coverage needs.
The practice cares for an adult and geriatric population in a collaborative Critical Access Hospital environment.

Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage adult and geriatric patients with pulmonary conditions
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic pulmonary conditions
Develop individualized treatment and management plans
Provide follow-up care and coordinate treatment with other providers
Document patient encounters accurately in Epic
Collaborate with Family Medicine, Orthopedics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Hospitalist and Emergency Medicine providers as needed
Qualifications
Active Alaska medical license strongly preferred
IMLC participation accepted/strongly preferred
BLS certification required
Epic EMR experience required
Comfortable treating adult and geriatric patients
Recent clinical experience appropriate to the requested scope of practice

Approximately 14–16 patients per day
Coverage Pattern:
Initially approximately 1 week per month, with the potential to transition to 1 week every other month or quarterly based on coverage needs.
