Seeking a Locum Pulmonology Physician for outpatient pulmonary coverage in Ketchikan, AK. This is a flexible part time opportunity with no call, no inpatient rounding & no procedures required.
• • • Expected start date: November 1, 2026
• • • Expected assignment duration: 6 months
• • • 0.25 FTE
• • • Approximately 14–16 patients per day
• • • Adult & geriatric patient population
• • • Outpatient clinic setting
• • • No call requirement
• • • No rounding or admissions
• • • No procedures required
• • • Provider will work independently
• • • Support available from hospitalist, ED & multiple specialty teams
Job Responsibilities
• • • Evaluate & manage adult pulmonary conditions
• • • Provide care for geriatric patients
• • • Perform comprehensive pulmonary assessments
• • • Develop & manage individualized treatment plans
• • • Review diagnostic information & clinical history
• • • Coordinate care with other available specialists
• • • Maintain accurate patient documentation in EPIC
• • • Manage approximately 14–16 patients per day
Qualifications
• • • Active Alaska medical license required at time of presentation
• • • BLS certification required
• • • EPIC experience required
• • • Must be proficient with EPIC
• • • Recent clinical experience representative of requested pulmonary privileges
• • • Comfortable practicing independently in an outpatient setting
Working Hours
• • • 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• • • 8 hour shifts
• • • No call
• • • No weekends
• • • Initial coverage: 1 week per month
• • • Coverage may transition to 1 week every other month or quarterly based on need
• • • Flexible part time, approximately 0.25 FTE
