Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pulmonologist for a permanent position with Boone Memorial Health in Madison, West Virginia. This is a rural, critical access hospital opportunity combining outpatient clinic and inpatient pulmonary consults. Please see below for more information.
- Practice setting: outpatient clinic plus inpatient pulmonary consults at a rural hospital
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00a - 4:00p, no after-hours call
- Patient ages: 0-99
- Practice mix: approximately 90% patient contact, 5% rounding, 3% phone consults, 2% procedures
- Onsite services: lab, x-ray, sleep lab
- Support staff: internal medicine PA, administrative, and nursing staff
- Sub-specialty experience in sleep medicine required
Job Responsibilities
Perform procedures including bronchoscopy, PFT lab, and ultrasound.
Manage ICU/vent patients, EBUS, thoracentesis, sleep medicine, and PFT interpretation.
Collaborate with internal medicine PA, administrative, and nursing support staff.
Qualifications
Sub-specialty experience in sleep medicine required.
Experience with ICU and vent management, bronchoscopy, EBUS, thoracentesis, and PFT interpretation.
Chest tube placement and critical access experience preferred.
Active West Virginia license required.
