Job description

Job description If you’re looking for a pulmonary role that’s more structured and sustainable than the typical hospital-heavy setup, this is one to take a closer look at.

This is a physician-led, multi-specialty group in Connecticut where Pulmonology is built around outpatient care, strong internal referrals, and real clinical support. The goal is to keep your day focused on patient care without getting pulled into unnecessary administrative work.

What the role looks like

  • Primarily outpatient pulmonary clinic with an established patient base
  • Consistent internal referrals from primary care and specialty providers
  • Option to incorporate procedures based on your preference
  • Hospital work is flexible and not required for everyone
  • Predictable weekly schedule

How the practice runs

You are stepping into an organized, system-driven environment. Patients are referred internally, so your schedule stays full without needing to build volume from scratch.

Administrative tasks are handled through centralized teams, so you are not managing scheduling, prior auths, or follow-up coordination yourself.

You are also working alongside other specialties in a collaborative setting, which makes patient management more efficient and reduces unnecessary friction.

Support

  • Dedicated Medical Assistant support in clinic
  • Centralized scheduling and coordination team
  • Established workflows that keep the day moving efficiently
  • Access to colleagues across specialties for collaboration

Call and schedule

  • Shared call across the group
  • Structured to be manageable and predictable
  • Designed with long-term physician retention in mind

Compensation and benefits

  • $400K+ earning potential based on base plus productivity
  • Competitive base salary
  • Full benefits package
  • CME and professional development support
  • Long-term stability within an established group

Requirements

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine
  • Pulmonary or Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship
  • Eligible for Connecticut license
  • DEA or eligible
