UCHealth needs a locum Pulmonary Critical Care physician across 3 Colorado sites, starting 1/1/2027. $346.50/hour, $519.75/hr holiday, $924/shift night call, $346.50/hr callback. Recent Level I trauma experience required.

Job Responsibilities

Rotates across 3 sites, one location per 12-hour shift: Medical Center of the Rockies (MCR, Level I trauma, in-house 7a-7p with rounding or 7p-7a, other pulmonologists onsite), Poudre Valley Hospital (PVH, Level II trauma, in-house 7a-7p with rounding, offsite pager call 7p-7a, other pulmonologists onsite), and Greeley Hospital (GH, Level III trauma, in-house 7a-7p with rounding, offsite pager call 7p-7a, no other pulmonologists onsite). Coverage capped at 7 consecutive days, rotating locations for lighter stretches between shifts. 30 shifts/month needed across all locums. Inpatient pulmonology and ICU critical care, ventilator management, bronchoscopy, central/arterial lines, thoracentesis, chest tubes. 48 ICU beds, group of 20 pulmonologists and 10 mid-levels. Epic EMR, lab and x-ray onsite.

Qualifications

Board certified in Pulmonology and Critical Care. Active Colorado license or active IMLC with LOQ in hand at name clear. ACLS, BLS, and DEA preferred, required for credentialing. Recent Level I trauma experience (last 24 months) required. Credentialing runs 90-120 days. Local/drive-in candidates highly preferred.

Working Hours

12-hour shifts, 7a-7p or 7p-7a depending on site. Weekend requirements apply. Call required at PVH and GH.
