Job description

Job description A hospital in the Greenville, SC area needs 1-2 Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians for intermittent coverage, possibly starting February 2027, covering for a physician on new parent leave. Pay is $275/hr. No call responsibilities. Schedule is either ICU shift, 7am-7pm, or hospital pulmonology coverage, 7:30am-5pm, Monday through Sunday. This is 100% inpatient, adult and geriatric only, no pediatric or neonatal care. Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage are all covered.

Job Responsibilities

Provide Intensive Care Unit coverage and general hospital pulmonology consults. Manage a caseload of 10-15 patients per day in each setting (hospital and ICU). Work alongside up to 3 physicians and 3 APCs covering the Pulmonary/Critical Care service on weekdays.

Qualifications

Board Certified in Critical Care required, Pulmonary preferred. Fellowship in Critical Care/Pulmonology required. Active South Carolina license required. Active ACLS required. Active DEA required. Temp privileges available for candidates with a clean background.

Working Hours

Either ICU shift (7am-7pm) or hospital coverage (7:30am-5pm), Monday through Sunday, intermittent scheduling.

Skills

Comfortable managing both ICU patients and general hospital pulmonology consults in a 245-bed facility with 20 ICU, 12 CCU, and 6 CVICU beds. EPIC EMR experience required. Hospital pulmonology daily census averages 40 patients.
