Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pulmonary/Critical Care physician for a locum tenens call-coverage position at Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview, Texas. This is a hospital-based, call-only role with critical care responsibilities. Please see below for more information.
- Practice setting: acute care hospital, 26-bed unit (Trauma Level III)
- Coverage: call-only; scheduled in weekly blocks, with the possibility of approximately one week per month ongoing
- Volume: approximately 15 patients per shift
- Clinical scope: cardiac and respiratory arrest/failure, sepsis, metabolic disorders, renal failure, overdose/poisoning, and pre-/post-operative management
- EMR: Athena/MedHost
Job Responsibilities
Manage cardiac and respiratory arrest/failure, sepsis, metabolic disorders, renal failure, and overdose/poisoning cases.
Cover approximately 15 patients per shift.
Document care in Athena/MedHost EMR.
Qualifications
Active Texas license required.
Experience managing critically ill patients in an ICU setting.
Ability to provide 24-hour on-call coverage.
