A hospital-based behavioral health program in New York's Capital Region is seeking a full-time adult Psychiatrist for its inpatient team. Mission-driven, physician-friendly environment with strong interdisciplinary support and a stable, predictable program.
Practice Details:
• 30-bed adult mental health unit shared between two psychiatrists
• Patients across mental health, dual-diagnosis (MICA) and geropsychiatry units
• Weekend call 1:6
• Team of counselors, therapists, case managers, NPs and psychiatrists
Compensation & Benefits:
• Base salary $318,000–$355,000 based on experience
• $25,000 starting bonus + $30,000 retention bonus
• Productivity and quality incentives
• Health, dental, vision; paid malpractice with tail
• CME allowance and time; paid time off; retirement
• Relocation assistance; PSLF eligible

Job Responsibilities
• Treat patients with mental health, dual-diagnosis and geriatric needs
• Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists and community providers
• Lead the multidisciplinary treatment team
• Participate in 1:6 weekend call
Qualifications
• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• New York license (or eligible)
• DEA before start
• Clean malpractice preferred
• Permanent role – not open to locums; no visa sponsorship
