Description
We are seeking a psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services to residents with intellectual disabilities. The provider will diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders, conduct psychiatric assessments, manage medication use, and maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Services may be provided on-site or through telepsychiatry. Remote providers must be present on-site for the first day.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders.

Perform psychiatric assessments.

Provide timely and accurate documentation of clinical encounters in the EMR.

Justify medication use and support appropriate medication management.

Collaborate effectively within a team.

Communicate clearly and present information effectively.

Work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
-
Unrestricted Texas medical license.
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.

Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.

National Provider Identifier (NPI).
-
Completion of all facility-required and Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) training.

Proficiency with computers and electronic health records.

Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
