Job Responsibilities
Manage a daily census of approximately 10–12 adult inpatients.
Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications.
Develop and update individualized treatment plans.
Assess patient safety, clinical stability, and readiness for discharge.
Collaborate with nurse practitioners, nursing staff, therapists, case management, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
Complete timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation.
Participate in a shared weekend coverage schedule of two weekends per month.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Active Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure
Active, unrestricted DEA registration
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
Experience in an inpatient behavioral health setting
Experience treating adult psychiatric patients
Comfort working within a multidisciplinary team environment
Schedule
Monday through Friday
Full-time W-2 employment
Two weekends of inpatient coverage per month
Adult inpatient behavioral health setting
