Aya Healthcare is seeking a Psychiatry physician (Child and Adolescent Psychiatry preferred) for a locum tenens opportunity at UCSF Health Stanyan Hospital in San Francisco, CA. California-based providers only.
- Acute care hospital affiliated with UCSF Health
- Adolescent patient population, approx. 6-12 patients per day
- Coverage: 2 weeks of full-time weekday coverage in addition to 2 weekends per month
- Epic charting system
- Public transportation available via BART with shuttles to each campus
Job Responsibilities
• Weekend rounding (approx. 6 hours starting at 8am) with 24-hour call coverage
• Monday/Tuesday on-site 8a-5p followed by night call until 8a, including placing admission orders
• See approximately 6-12 patients per day
• Develop individualized treatment plans and lead the multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
• Active California license (CA residents only)
• California DEA with Schedule 2/2n required
• BLS (AHA) required
• Experience with psychiatric medications and psychotherapies in children and adolescents
• Experience managing challenging behaviors and de-escalation
