### **Inpatient Psychiatry Medical Director opening in Winston-Salem, NC
Located in Winston-Salem, NC – Greensboro 30m

Seeking BC/BE Psychiatrist
### **Overview:**
* Medical Director opportunity providing leadership and oversight for inpatient Behavioral Health and Psychiatric services
Position consists of 0.9 clinical FTE and 0.1 administrative FTE
* Lead a 50-bed adult inpatient Psychiatry program and Consult-Liaison services
* Day-shift schedule, Monday–Friday, plus rotating call coverage
* Provide daily inpatient rounding and timely clinical documentation
* Oversee Psychiatric Hospitalist, consultation and other hospital-based Psychiatric services
* Represent Psychiatric Services with hospital administration and participate in leadership and administrative meetings
* Develop and implement policies and procedures supporting high-quality hospital-based Psychiatric care
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, APPs, nursing, therapists and support staff
* Serve as liaison between Psychiatric providers, medical staff and hospital leadership to facilitate timely transitions of care
* Coordinate provider workload and call schedules in collaboration with departmental leadership
* Provide clinical oversight for independently licensed mental health providers supporting crisis hotline, mobile crisis, telehealth, assessment and related Behavioral Health programs
* Serve as primary supervising physician for employed Psychiatry APPs
* Participate in community Behavioral Health partnerships
* Seeking BC/BE Psychiatrist with at least 5 years of post-residency experience
* Previous physician leadership experience preferred
