A leading regional health system is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible General Psychiatrist (MD/DO) for a full-time, permanent position serving its inpatient psychiatric unit in Bridgeton.

The Practice Experience

Join a dedicated, multidisciplinary behavioral health team delivering comprehensive inpatient psychiatric evaluation, acute stabilization, and longitudinal care coordination.

• Clinical Scope: Lead inpatient psychiatric care across a specialized 33-bed voluntary and involuntary unit (including 23 Short-Term Care Facility / STCF beds and 10 flex beds):

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, daily clinical rounding, acute stabilization, and diagnostic workups

  • Direct individualized treatment plans, psychopharmacological management, and interdisciplinary care coordination

  • Collaborate alongside a full-time Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), attending psychiatrists, clinical social workers, and nursing teams

  • Utilize Cerner EMR for efficient clinical documentation and ordering

  • Engage in resident teaching and academic mentorship, with opportunities for clinical leadership and potential practice ownership

• Credentials & Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution; Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry.

• Resident Eligibility: Fourth-year psychiatry residents (PGY-4) are strongly encouraged to apply.
