Job description Title: Psychiatrist
Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433, United States.
Schedule: Standard Shift
Duration: Long Term Contract
Pay Rate: $150 - $165/hour with Benefits.

Summary: Looking for a Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive patient care, supervise and train medical staff, coordinate clinical services, manage emergencies, and participate in quality assurance and performance improvement programs in accordance with MTF standards and privileges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform the full range of physician services within the clinical privileges granted by the MTF.
• Direct, perform, and assist in instructing healthcare professionals within assigned clinical responsibilities.
• Examine, diagnose, treat, and prescribe treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.
• Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, health education, counseling, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills.
• Order diagnostic tests and request consultations or referrals to appropriate physicians, clinics, and healthcare resources.
• Direct and teach medical staff, deliver educational lectures, and participate in staff in-service training in accordance with government standards, professional guidelines, and clinical protocols.
• Coordinate comprehensive, multidisciplinary patient care using facility and community resources, emerging procedures, clinical techniques, patient history, and diagnostic findings.
• Provide emergency services and crisis intervention, including life-saving procedures, and assist in moving, lifting, and handling patients with other medical staff.
• Encourage lifestyle modifications, provide follow-up care, and monitor patient compliance with therapy and treatment outcomes.
• Provide telephone and in-person clinical advice to physicians, non-physician providers, and medical staff regarding urgent, emergent, and non-urgent cases.
• Serve as a medical staff member or faculty advisor in meetings, committees, conferences, and boards related to assigned duties.
• Evaluate patient care at the MTF, identify improvement opportunities, advise on complex cases, and recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in quality assurance (QA), performance improvement, risk management, and peer review programs, recommending improvements to work methods and organizational processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
• American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the AOA Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
• American Board Certification
• BLS/CPR
