SetLine Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Adult Psychiatrist for an outstanding opportunity with a behavioral health organization in Ventura, California.

Job Responsibilities

Position Overview

The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adults with serious mental illness within a team-based behavioral health setting.

Depending on program assignment, responsibilities may include:

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments

Provide medication management and psychopharmacologic treatment

Treat adults with schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, psychotic disorders, and other serious mental illnesses

Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning

Collaborate with psychologists, nurses, social workers, therapists, and other behavioral health professionals

Review collateral clinical histories and previous treatment records

Coordinate care across inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community settings

Provide brief therapy when clinically appropriate

Educate patients regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment options, and potential side effects

Complete clinical evaluations and supporting documentation

Participate in regular team meetings

Conduct community or field-based patient visits as appropriate

Maintain timely documentation in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

Qualifications

MD or DO

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

Active, unrestricted California medical license

Active DEA registration

Experience treating adults with serious mental illness preferred

Experience with schizophrenia-spectrum and psychotic disorders preferred

Forensic or justice-involved population experience is a plus

Strong collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient care

Working Hours

Schedule

Four 8-hour days per week

No call, after-hours, or weekend coverage required.
