Clinical Director & Clinical Supervisor – Behavioral Health

Albuquerque, New Mexico | On-Site | Intensive Outpatient Behavioral Health

Position Overview

A growing behavioral health organization in Albuquerque, New Mexico is seeking an experienced Clinical Director & Clinical Supervisor to provide hands-on clinical leadership across its mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorder programs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced behavioral health leader who enjoys developing clinicians, improving clinical quality, strengthening programs, and making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

The Clinical Director & Clinical Supervisor will work closely with clinicians, care coordinators, peer support specialists, and other members of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership across mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorder services
Oversee clinical operations and promote high-quality, individualized, evidence-based care
Provide clinical supervision, consultation, mentoring, and professional development
Review and approve treatment plans
Participate in complex case consultations and provide clinical guidance
Strengthen clinical documentation, treatment planning, and compliance practices
Support trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally responsive care
Mentor and develop LSAAs, CPSWs, and other applicable clinical staff
Establish consistent clinical practices, standards, and expectations
Monitor clinical quality and identify opportunities for improvement
Support compliance with New Mexico Medicaid requirements and applicable professional standards
Contribute to behavioral health program development and continuous improvement
Collaborate with care coordination, peer support, medical, and behavioral health professionals
Help build a strong, accountable, collaborative, and high-performing clinical team

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Graduate degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or another applicable behavioral health discipline
Current professional license appropriate for practice in New Mexico, such as LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT
Clinical leadership, supervision, or program-management experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment
Experience treating mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders
Experience providing clinical supervision
Appropriate supervisory credentials for the services and staff being supervised
Strong knowledge of treatment planning, clinical documentation, and behavioral health compliance
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CCSS programming
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) experience
Experience with Medicaid-funded behavioral health services
Experience with substance use treatment
Knowledge of trauma-informed and evidence-based behavioral health practices
Experience developing or improving behavioral health programs
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
