Client is seeking a Psychiatrist to join its behavioral health facility in Canton, Ohio.

This is a clinical Psychiatrist position and is not a Medical Director role. The facility currently serves approximately 70 patients, with capacity for approximately 80 patients, and also has a small PHP program onsite.

The organization is primarily seeking a full-time Psychiatrist, although part-time coverage may be considered for a strong candidate.

This opportunity is well suited for a psychiatrist who enjoys direct patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration without the administrative and leadership responsibilities associated with a Medical Director position.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing treatment.
Manage medications and support patient stabilization.
Develop and participate in individualized treatment plans.
Participate in admissions, discharges, clinical reviews, and ongoing patient care.
Provide consistent psychiatric coverage for assigned patients.
Support inpatient and PHP services as assigned.
Collaborate closely with nursing, therapy, case management, and facility leadership.
Participate as an active member of an interdisciplinary clinical team.
Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
Support quality, safety, and clinical standards throughout the facility.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate:
MD or DO with completed Psychiatry training.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
Active Ohio medical license or ability and willingness to obtain one.
Prior inpatient behavioral health experience preferred.
Comfortable working in a facility with a census of approximately 70 patients.
Experience with PHP, detox, residential, dual-diagnosis, or substance use populations is a plus.
Strong clinical judgment and patient-care skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Reliable, team-oriented, and comfortable providing consistent psychiatric coverage.
Willingness to work full-time preferred; part-time candidates may also be considered.
