Practice Setting
Providers will support behavioral health patients through psychiatric evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, and coordination of care within a collaborative clinical environment.
The psychiatrist will work closely with nursing staff, therapists, social workers, APPs, and physicians to ensure comprehensive psychiatric treatment and continuity of care.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform initial psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
- Conduct psychiatric follow-up visits
- Diagnose and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
- Provide medication management services
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans
- Complete psychiatric histories and mental status examinations
- Perform suicide risk and behavioral risk assessments
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
- Coordinate care with therapists, social workers, APPs, and nursing teams
- Assist with admissions and discharges as needed
- Provide psychiatric consultation services when requested
- Complete timely and accurate documentation
Schedule
40 Hours Per Week
- Five 8-hour night shifts weekly
- Hours scheduled between:
- 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Qualifications
Required
- MD or DO
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency Program
- Active Missouri Medical License
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active DEA Registration
- Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management
- Ability to work overnight behavioral health coverage
Preferred
- Inpatient Psychiatry experience
- Behavioral Health Hospital experience
- Emergency Psychiatry experience
- Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry experience
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary treatment teams
