This behavioral health facility offers a comprehensive range of psychiatric services across both outpatient and inpatient settings, including a dedicated outpatient adult psychiatric clinic and an Acute Behavioral Health Stabilization Unit. The facility maintains a well-supported, multidisciplinary team environment with robust clinical support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.Opportunity:
Physician - PsychiatryJob Details:
- Primary focus on Outpatient Adult Psychiatric clinic, seeing patients Monday through Friday from 0900-1700 (no patients during lunch hour)
- Average visits per day of 7-14 with visits scheduled in 20-minute increments ranging from 20-120 minutes depending on visit type
- Clinic support staff includes 2 front office staff, 1 RN, and 0.5 RN Clinic Manager alongside a team of 6 providers
- Participate in weekend on-call coverage for the Acute Behavioral Health Stabilization Unit, with an on-call ratio of roughly 1 week in 6-7
- Weekend on-call runs from Friday at 1700 through Monday at 0800, remaining available by phone 24 hours a day
- Weekend on-call responsibilities include accepting new admitting patients evaluated by a Crisis Interventionist and completing daily rounds on new and current inpatients
- Average daily combined census across all units is 12
- Must be able to manage a full range of psychiatric clinical areas including anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, psychotic disorders, and organic disorders
- Must be experienced with involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, and restraint application
- Required treatment techniques include pharmacotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and ECT
- Board certification required with BLS certification required
- Must hold an active Montana license or IMLC
- Credentialing timeframe is approximately 120 days but can be expedited if needed
- Nearest airport is Glacier International Airport with lodging recommendations available upon request
