- Board Certification Required
- 10-hour day shifts with night call
- 7-on/7-off rotation
- Call: Monday, Wednesday, Friday + weekends
- EPIC EMR
- Adult population with occasional geriatric patients
- Support staff includes nurses, techs, and social workers
Practice Details:
- 26-bed behavioral health unit
- Current census: 29 patients
- Average daily patient volume: 20
- Rounding on approximately 13 patients/day
- 1-3 admissions and 1-3 discharges daily
- 4-5 consults per day (8-9 including follow-up visits)
- Coverage includes unit, emergency department, and other floors
- Histories & Physicals required
Team Structure:
- 2 Psychiatrists (including Medical Director)
- 2 Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners on a 7-on/7-off schedule
Additional Details:
- Need due to site coverage shortage
- Consult calls are typically handled by phone, with onsite response only for rare emergencies
- Orientation can be scheduled on the start date
- Credentialing varies and may take up to 90 days (provider paperwork completion expected within 30 days)
