Client is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join a behavioral health facility in Columbus, Ohio.
The facility currently has a census of approximately 70 patients, with capacity for approximately 80 patients, and also has a small Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) onsite.
This is a clinical psychiatry position, not a Medical Director role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing psychiatric care in an established, higher-census behavioral health environment and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Job Responsibilities
Clinical Care:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment.
Manage psychiatric medications and support clinical stabilization.
Provide consistent psychiatric coverage for assigned patients.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
Participate in admissions, discharges, treatment planning, and clinical reviews.
Collaboration & Care Coordination:
Work closely with nursing, therapy, case management, and facility leadership.
Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary behavioral health team.
Coordinate patient care with other clinical providers as appropriate.
Support inpatient and PHP services as assigned.
Documentation & Quality:
Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation.
Follow established clinical, safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Participate in treatment reviews and quality-improvement activities.
Support a safe and effective therapeutic environment for patients.
Qualifications
MD or DO with completed Psychiatry training.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
Ohio medical license preferred, or ability and willingness to obtain.
Previous experience in inpatient psychiatry or a behavioral health facility preferred.
Comfortable working within a facility with a census of approximately 70 patients.
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)
Detox
Residential behavioral health
Dual diagnosis
Substance use populations
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, collaborative, and team-oriented.
Comfortable working in a busy behavioral health environment.
