Step into a locum tenens opportunity for an Adult Psychiatrist in Binghamton, New York. This full-time inpatient assignment offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, approximately 20-patient caseload, and diverse psychiatric care across inpatient units.
Ideal for a Board-Certified Psychiatrist seeking a stable locum travel assignment, this opportunity provides meaningful clinical exposure, multidisciplinary collaboration, and the potential for additional Physician On-Call coverage.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage medications and prescribe psychotropic medications.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams, case reviews, and treatment recommendations.
• Respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies and admit patients from hospitals, CPEP, and emergency departments.
• Participate in Clinical Reviews, Forensic Reviews, AOTs, TOOs, and 2PC documentation.
• Complete required OMH/GBHC documentation and attend daily morning hand-off meetings.
Qualifications
• Active New York medical license.
Working Hours
• 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• 40 hours/week
• Up to 40 Physician On-Call (POC) hours/week available.
• Full in-person new employee orientation required.
• Providers participating in on-call coverage must be willing to cover all inpatient units.
