A health services organization in New York City is actively seeking a licensed professional to join their outpatient behavioral health facility in Brooklyn as a Medical Director - Psychiatry. This part-time leadership role combines direct psychiatric care with clinical supervision, collaboration, and program support in a community health setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Part-time
- Hours: 15 hours per week
- Setting: Outpatient behavioral health clinic
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients within the specialty area
- Deliver direct psychiatric and addiction treatment using evidence-based standards and best practices
- Supervise clinical activities, documentation, and follow-up procedures for psychiatric providers
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners and physician assistants and maintain productive clinical partnerships
- Participate in multidisciplinary planning, quality improvement efforts, and regulatory compliance initiatives
Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree, such as an MD or DO
- Board certification in Adult Psychiatry or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Board certification in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry
- Active buprenorphine license or eligibility to obtain one
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
