Job description We're partnering with a growing outpatient psychiatric organization in Long Beach to hire a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for a full-time hybrid role combining direct patient care, team leadership, and community-based collaboration.

This is an opportunity to lead a clinical office within a mission-driven group serving diverse and underserved populations, with optional pathways into interventional psychiatry and clinical research.

Role Overview:

This position is a full-time, 5-day schedule with a hybrid structure (up to 2 days remote):

Clinical:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents, in person and via telehealth
  • Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care
  • Develop individualized, integrated treatment plans with the care team
  • Participate in crisis intervention and emergency care as needed

Leadership and Community:

  • Supervise and support mid-level providers (NPs, PAs) and collaborate with therapists
  • Serve as a key clinical leader for the office
  • Engage with local agencies, treatment centers, and families to support holistic patient care
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment, and wellness practices

What They're Looking For:

  • MD or DO with active California license, NPI, and DEA registration (or eligibility)
  • Subspecialty training or experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, or Board Eligible with certification within 1 year
  • Comfortable supervising mid-level providers
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, recovery principles, and integrated approaches across pediatric and adult psychiatry
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Nice to Have:

  • 2+ years of independent psychiatric practice
  • Prior supervision experience with NPs or PAs
  • Interest in interventional psychiatry (TMS) or clinical research
  • Spanish language skills (highly valued)
  • Experience with Medicaid and Medicare populations
