We’re partnering with a growing outpatient psychiatric organization in Orange County to hire a Research Psychiatrist for a unique hybrid role blending clinical care and clinical research.
This is an opportunity to be directly involved in pharma-sponsored trials while maintaining a meaningful clinical practice and leadership responsibilities.
Role Overview:
This position is structured as a 50/50 split between clinical responsibilities and research:
Clinical (50%):
- Provide direct patient care in an outpatient setting
- Supervise and support mid-level providers (NPs, PAs)
- Help maintain high-quality, consistent care across sites
Research (50%):
- Serve as a Sub-Investigator on industry-sponsored clinical trials
- Partner with pharmaceutical sponsors and research teams
- Contribute to study execution, patient recruitment, and protocol adherence
What They’re Looking For:
- MD or DO with active California license (or eligibility)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Interest in or exposure to clinical research / pharma trials
- Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced outpatient environment
- Experience supervising mid-level providers is a plus
Nice to Have:
- Prior Sub-I or PI experience in clinical trials
- Background in psychopharmacology, TMS, or treatment-resistant conditions
- Spanish language skills (highly valued)
- Experience in CNS / neuropsychiatric therapeutic areas
