Description

We are seeking a Locum Tenens Psychiatrist to provide inpatient psychiatric services in Orangeburg, NY. This is a full-time inpatient assignment with a 56-hour weekly schedule, consisting of 40 regular hours plus up to 16 additional hours of coverage as needed.

The psychiatrist must be available to provide additional evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage when required.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient psychiatric care
• Evaluate and manage psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting
• Provide regular weekday psychiatric coverage
• Provide additional coverage as needed during:
  • Evenings
  • Overnight call
  • Weekend day shifts
  • Holidays
  • Other off-hours
• Collaborate with the inpatient treatment team and other clinical staff
• Perform clinical duties associated with ongoing inpatient psychiatric care

Qualifications

• Board Certified Psychiatrist – Required
• Inpatient psychiatry experience
• Must be available for additional after-hours, overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed
• Must be able to fulfill the 56-hour weekly coverage requirement

Working Hours

• 56 hours per week
• 40 regular hours + up to 16 additional coverage hours
• Primary schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Additional coverage, as needed:
  • Evenings: 4:30 PM–10:00 PM
  • Overnight Call: 4:30 PM–8:30 AM
  • Weekend Day Shifts: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Holiday and other off-hour coverage as needed
