Job Title: Psychiatrist
Location: Columbus, OH 43223
Pay rate: $200 to $210
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 3+ Months (Long-term contract with potential for extension)
Start Date: TBD, upon completion of credentialing

• Lead Treatment Team meetings, providing clinical direction for the development and implementation of Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs).
• Administer and monitor psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatments, offering both individual and group therapy.
• Regularly assess patient conditions and coordinate referrals, consultations, or transfers to ensure continuous, seamless care.
• Coordinate with external healthcare providers to facilitate smooth transitions as patients move to community-based settings.
• Forensic & Legal Responsibilities
• Conduct court-ordered psychiatric evaluations, including assessments for competency to stand trial and criminal responsibility.
• Prepare thorough, timely forensic reports for courts and legal stakeholders in strict accordance with statutory requirements.
• Participate in forensic case reviews and multidisciplinary discussions concerning risk management, conditional release, and patient placement.
• Compliance & Documentation
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all treatments and activities to ensure full compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., TJC, Medicare, Medicaid, DBH) and institutional policies.
• Provide clinical guidance and training to professional, nursing, and direct care staff regarding patient psychiatric care.
• Residency: Satisfactory completion of an approved residency training program in psychiatry (recognized by the AMA, AOA, or American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry), OR recognized as a psychiatrist by the state medical association with 5+ years of medical practice limited to psychiatry.

The Psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive evaluations, examinations, and analyses to diagnose and treat patients, prescribe necessary medications, and provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.Clinical & Treatment Duties

Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Licensure
• Medical License: Valid certificate to practice medicine in accordance with state guidelines (Section 4731.13 of the Ohio Revised Code).• Residency: Satisfactory completion of an approved residency training program in psychiatry (recognized by the AMA, AOA, or American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry), OR recognized as a psychiatrist by the state medical association with 5+ years of medical practice limited to psychiatry.
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated professional experience providing psychiatric assessment, treatment, and consultation within forensic settings, correctional systems, or legal-clinical environments.• Required Skills
