We are seeking a Locum Tenens Adult Psychiatrist to provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services in Ogdensburg, NY. The position involves caring for adult psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting with a maximum caseload of 20 patients per provider.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and admissions
• Manage patient discharges
• Provide medication management
• Provide routine and follow-up psychiatric care
• Attend morning meetings
• Participate in weekly treatment team meetings
• Participate in ward meetings as needed
• Address legal matters, including:
  • Involuntary retention
  • Treatment over objection
• Respond to psychiatric emergencies and codes
• Review and sign test results and consults
• Collaborate with medical providers and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Psychiatry experience
• Adult inpatient psychiatry experience preferred
• Must be able to manage a maximum caseload of 20 patients
• Physician qualified to provide adult inpatient psychiatric care

Working Hours

• Full-time
• 40 hours per week
• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• No weekend coverage required
