Looking for meaningful, flexible per-diem work? Join an accredited outpatient addiction treatment center in Midtown Manhattan as a Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adults navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions- just one day a week!
What You'll Do:
- Evaluate and monitor the mental, emotional, and behavioral status of patients in an integrated care setting
- Complete diagnostic evaluations and maintain thorough, compliant documentation
- Collaborate closely with physicians, PAs, nurses, and counseling staff to support optimal outcomes
- Support medication-assisted treatment (methadone, buprenorphine, vivitrol) alongside individual/group counseling
- Build goal-directed, trust-based relationships with patients to support their recovery journey
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
- Recognize when to refer patients to specialty services and follow up appropriately
What You'll Bring:
- Active NY medical license (MD/DO) or PMHNP-BC certification
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry (Addiction Psychiatry certification a plus for MDs)
- Experience treating adults with substance use disorders
- Comfort working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary outpatient setting
