Job description
Provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, behavioral health consultations, emergency psychiatric services, inpatient hospitalization coordination, and patient/family education.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide formal and “curbside” behavioral health consultations.
• Provide emergency psychiatric services during contracted hours.
• Facilitate inpatient psychiatric hospitalizations when needed.
• Assist patients with access to free medication programs.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and medications.
• Coordinate care with the behavioral health team and support Medication Assisted Treatment.
• Complete disability questionnaires and refer patients to community resources.
• Consult on psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, programs, and policies.
• Participate in meetings, staff development, community health activities, and other assigned duties.
Qualifications
• DEA and Missouri BNDD licenses/numbers.
• Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment.
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
• Board certification in Psychiatry.
• Minimum 2 years of Psychiatry experience.
• Experience or strong interest in urban healthcare preferred.

• Schedule coordination and coverage of clinic operating hours required.
