We are seeking a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist for an inpatient psychiatry locum assignment in Orangeburg, New York
- Specialty: Adult Psychiatry
- Setting: Inpatient Psychiatry
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Regular Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Additional Coverage: Up to 16 hours per week as needed
- Meal Break: 30 minutes
- On-Call: Additional after-hours coverage may be required
- Assignment: Long-term opportunity with potential coverage through December 2030
Job Responsibilities
Assess and manage adult patients with acute and chronic psychiatric conditions
Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams
Provide appropriate psychiatric consultations and follow-up care
Complete timely clinical documentation
Participate in treatment planning and patient care coordination
Qualifications
Experience in inpatient psychiatry
Ability to provide coverage during regular weekday hours and additional after-hours periods as needed
Current, unrestricted medical license
Ability to complete required credentialing and onboarding
Working Hours
Regular hours: 40 hours/week
Additional coverage: Up to 16 hours/week as needed
Additional coverage may include: evenings, overnight call, weekends, and holidays
Meal break: 30 minutes
On-call: No routine on-call, but additional overnight coverage may be required.
