• Provide inpatient psychiatric care at a 24-bed unit within Altru Hospital.
• Evaluate and treat patients across a broad range of psychiatric diagnoses and age groups.
• Provide psychiatric consultation to the ER and general hospital.
• Work alongside another psychiatrist on a 7-days-on/7-days-off rotation.
• Typical change day is Thursday.
• Assignment is initially 13 weeks with potential for ongoing coverage.
• Evaluate and treat patients across a broad range of psychiatric diagnoses and age groups.
• Provide psychiatric consultation to the ER and general hospital.
• Work alongside another psychiatrist on a 7-days-on/7-days-off rotation.

Job Responsibilities
• Manage adult and adolescent inpatient psychiatric patients.
• Respond to psychiatric needs in the ER.
• Provide consultations throughout the general hospital.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with APPs, social workers, intake teams, and discharge teams.
• Participate in 1–2 nights of call during each 7-day work block.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation in EPIC EMR.
• Coordinate care and discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• Psychiatry experience required.
• Must be comfortable treating all ages and psychiatric diagnoses encountered in the ER and hospital.
• Must be willing to work a 7-on/7-off schedule with another psychiatrist.
• Board certification status not specified.
• Bilingual skills are not required.
Working Hours
• 7 days on / 7 days off.
• 1–2 nights of call during each 7-day work block.
• Start Date: September, 2026, or as soon as credentialed.
• Provider must be available to start September 9, 2026 for full orientation.
• No holiday coverage required.
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks.
